UK TECH-FEST: Announces Next Round of Bands

UK TECH-FEST, Europe’s first ever progressive and technical metal outdoor festival, has added 11 more bands to its line-up as well as nine more acts performing at the on-site after-parties. Tech-Fest will happen at The Plough Events Field in Peterborough on 11 – 15 July.

Featuring ex members of prog-metal titans Cynic, jazz-metal fusionists Exivious have become legendary within tech circles for their unconventional musical approach and world-class virtuosity. They are joined by Basick Records’ No Consequence, who returned this year with their new record ‘IO’. Bristol technical metallers Red Seas Fire have been creating a huge stir in the UK touring circuit this year, and are another exciting addition to the festival. Basick’s new signing from Italy, Damned Spring Fragrantia, will be coming over to showcase their bulldozing mix of low-tuned savagery to the UK for the first time in support of their debut album ‘Divergences’. Alt-metallers Visions, Irish proggers Shattered Skies, ethereal metallers Exist Immortal and up and coming bands Beyond the Dust, Foreboding Ether, Invocation and Linked have also been added to the bill.

For those who are still hungry for more music after the main event, there will be after-parties that go into the early hours.

Previously announced bands are Scar Symmetry, Veil of Maya, Tesseract, Monuments, Skyharbor (UK Exclusive 2013), Chimp Spanner, Heart of a Coward, Aliases, Sybreed, Uneven Structure (UK 2013 Exclusive), The Algorithm, DispersE, Destiny Potato, Xerath, Cilice, Neosis, Dyscarnate, Nexilva, Drewsif Stalins Musical Endeavors, Cold night for alligators, Eryn Non Dae, Kartikeya, Above The Earth, Joncofy.

In addition to the bands, beer and partying, there will also be workshops, Q&As and demonstrations with some of the top artists, as well as instrument and gear manufacturers stalls and information; a mecca for the metal geek.

With even more bands to announce with some awesome surprises along the way, TECH FEST UK is set to be one of the most unique and exciting metal festivals of 2013.
