ALUNAH Talks New Album, Napalm Records, Doom Metal and Sexism [Audio Interview]

In anticipation of the release of their third album and first on Napalm Records, I talked to Soph Day (vocals/guitar) and Dan Burchmore (bass) of the doom act Alunah before their headlining show at Bristol’s Till Death Doom Us Part festival on 1st June. We had an interesting chat about the recording of the new album and the chemistry between the band members. Soph and Dan also show us their views on the recent revival of doom/stoner metal and we had a lengthy conversation about sexism and women in metal. Check it all out in the audio clip below.

The band is planning a UK and European tour for September/October and have been recently confirmed for Up in Smoke festival in addition to a supporting slot for Spirit Carvan in Manchester. Stay up to date with the band via the band’s official website, Facebook and Twitter.

About Dom (1284 Articles)
I started this website in 2011 because I always had a burning passion of sharing music and keeping people informed about what's going on in the metal and rock worlds. If I am not sitting in a dark room in front of a computer, listening to some obscure music (or Whitesnake), then I am usually found at a concert or a festival interviewing bands (or drinking beer).
