It’s been an interesting decade for Bossk. Having formed in 2005, they released EPs and toured extensively for the next three years, mainly in support slots, but decided to split in 2008. They then reunited in 2012 and pretty much picked up from where they left off. In 2016, they finally got to release their debut album Audio Noir, through Deathwish Inc. (ran by Jacob Bannon of Converge). The album showcased the band’s unique middle ground between the dreamy sounds of post-metal and the portentous, heavy riffing of sludge metal. Proving that time and hard work pays off eventually, Bossk are finally getting the recognition they deserve after all these years, and if Audio Noir is anything to go by, things can only get better from here.
