MR Xmas Calendar Day 9: Harbinger

In the run-up to Christmas, we look at bands and artists which impressed us or had some impact in 2016!

Band: Harbinger
Label: n/a
Country: UK
Genre: Technical metal, death metal

Forming from the remnants of AcraniaNo Rest and Doomed From Day One, London’s Harbinger have begun crafting a legacy of unrelenting brutal technical prowess and eloquence in ability. I was first exposed to them at UK Tech Metal Festival this year, and they impressed me with their unabridged creativity on the strings and the sheer guttural vigour on the microphone. They take the supremely challenging and churn it into gold, without so much as breaking a sweat.

Harbinger have yet to reach their fullest potential, but with many gigs under their belt already supporting the likes of In Depths and Belial, joining Artery Global for bookings, a stellar EP in Paroxysm and a bigger 2017 to look towards, this could be their zenith year.
