Probably the most iconic band of the “Let the World Burn” collective is Furia. They are undoubtedly one of the most popular metal acts in Poland after Vader, Behemoth and Decapitated. The members of this collective also take part in bands such as FDS, MasseMord and Duszę Wypuścił/Wędrowcy~Tułacze~Zbiegi. Following the masterpiece which was Nocel (and one of the best-selling albums in the Polish metal charts), Furia returned with not one, but two releases this year: Guido and Księżyc milczy luty. The former was recorded live 320m underground in an ex-coal mine and is more of an experimental double vinyl release, while the latter is the next masterpiece which takes Furia to a whole new level. They continue to take Polish black metal to new regions, not only with their superb musicianship but also with their abstract poetic lyrics influenced by the Silesian region of their country. If you have not listened to Księżyc milczy luty and the band’s back catalogue, you are advised to catch up!
