BLASTFEST 2017: Cancelled!

The news comes just under a month ahead of the scheduled event.

Norway’s Blastfest have announced on Thursday, 2 February 2017, that due to low ticket sales, the festival had to be cancelled. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be refunded through the ticketing company. Ticket holders should wait for more information from Ticketmaster.

This announcement follows the controversial issue of Peste Noire being forced to cancel their appearance. We do not know whether the festival cancellation is related to this issue.

Devin Townsend Project, Katatonia, Marduk, Dying Fetus and many more were among the bands scheduled to perform the event in Bergen, Norway on 22-25 February 2017.

I started this website in 2011 because I always had a burning passion of sharing music and keeping people informed about what's going on in the metal and rock worlds. If I am not sitting in a dark room in front of a computer, listening to some obscure music (or Whitesnake), then I am usually found at a concert or a festival interviewing bands (or drinking beer).
